We’re locally owned and have served the NYC Metro Area, Nassau, and Suffolk County for over 50 years. We offer Portable Fire Extinguisher Services, High Pressure Cylinder Hydro Testing, Welding Gas Service, Clean Agent Systems, Refurbishing of Cylinders, . . . and all of these services are performed in our own facility.

Our story began in 1970 with the dream of Volunteer Firefighter, Kenneth Hahn, to provide exceptional fire suppression services with a focus on safety and integrity. As the fire suppression needs and local requirements have changed, so have the products and services offered by Ken-Mar Fire Extinguisher. Our number one goal is to provide services that help to keep our community safe.
Locally Owned & Renowned
After a few years, Ken-Mar added the high-pressure testing of cylinders and completed the rigorous training and certification with the Department of Transportation to acquire our license to perform these tests in our facility making turnaround of your cylinders quicker.

The Building
Ken-Mar Fire Extinguisher Co has been operating from the same location in East Northport for over 50 years.
We perform all services and testing at our location including DOT approved Hydrostatic testing of high pressure cylinders and licensed fire extinguisher testing and recharging.

Viola and Sara are our customer service representatives and they have a combined 8 years in the fire suppression industry.

Vidal has been with us for over 15 years and has the technical expertise to get your project done.
Lucio has been with us for over 10 years and is a perfectionist when it comes to reconditioning your cylinders or extinguishers.
